Our story

Having lived in different countries and studied in different cities, I found my friend group slowly spreading across the globe. When I entered my late 20s, many of my friends were getting into serious relationships or starting families.
At the same time, I have never really been the type to plan weeks ahead. I have always been good at making new friends, but I would still find myself in situations where I wanted to do something — and just did not have anyone to do it with.
It’s a strange feeling. In that moment, you suddenly feel limited by your social network. Not because you don’t have friends, but because everyone you think of is busy, has other plans, or just isn’t interested in the same thing.
And that can feel lonely.

So I started thinking — what if there was a platform where you
could easily find people to go out and do what you already want to
do? So you don’t miss out. So you don’t feel like you don’t have
enough friends. So you are not dependent on whether your usual
group is available. And this is how Papai started taking form.

As a solo founder with no technical background, finding the right team to build the platform turned out to be more challenging than expected. But we managed to build, test, refine, and launch the platform for you.
