What is Papai?
Papai is a platform where you can find people who want to meet and do the same thing as you, with you. You can explore or join activities near you. You can connect with people near you in the same mood as you or people who have similar passions to you.
We believe in freedom and opportunity. We invite, support and encourage people to do more of what they love, build new relations and create new experiences. We want to combat inaccesability to community by creating opportunities for people to connect over their passions. By putting an emphasis on passion, we have also created an app that encourages diversity, because we make it possible to connect with people based on what they love and not by any other given categories of personhood.
Who is Papai for?
Papai is for everyone who value connection but might lack the opportunity. You might just want to go to that concert, but all your friends are busy. We want to make a commitment to everyone who cares about shared experiences, but sometimes does not have someone to join them. You might be in a transitional phase or just a young professional in an urban city, feeling held back from engaging in things that brings you excitment, freedom and joy. We commit ourselves to creating a community of passionate people who are openminded and willing to put themselves out there.
Is the app free to use?
Papai is free to download and use. You can create and join as many activities as you want. You can also join one of our shared tables.
Where is Papai located?
We are located in Aarhus Denmark, but Papai is global and can be downloaded and used from anywhere.
How does Papai ensure safety?
Building a community based on safety and trust, and transparency is very important to us.
Papai events take place in open spaces, and users can connect with others by adding them as friends after meeting at an event. You can also create private activities and choose exactly who can join.
We make it easy to report inappropriate behaviour or activities. Any inappropriate content is removed immediately, and reported users are reviewed and suspended if necessary.
All users must agree to our community guidelines when creating an activity.
Your exact location is never displayed in the app. The precise location of an activity is only shared with users you approve to join.
We have also implemented a photo verification process to help ensure authentic profiles.
